Earth Day is just around the corner! On April 22nd, from 12-3, The Learning Garden is partnering with the horticultural program at Venice High School to celebrate and honor our planet. Learn to compost by:
Helping us prepare our new 3 bay compost system - It will help us keep nearly 6 Tons of CO2 emissions out of our air annually!Â
Followed by a lesson on the art and science of composting from a Master Gardener!
And finally a surprise seedling giveaway 😉
Composting is an incredibly valuable and environmentally friendly process that turns food scraps and yard waste into nutrient-rich soil. The compost created from this process can be used to nourish and support plant life, reducing the need for harmful chemical fertilizers. By volunteering with us, you'll have the chance to learn about the benefits of composting firsthand from a knowledgeable expert and help us create a new compost bay system that will contribute to the health of our garden and the wider environment.
Donations to support our mission are welcome, and every contribution will help us continue to provide hands-on environmental education to students and community members.Â
So mark your calendars for April 22nd and come out to The Learning Garden to celebrate Earth Day with us. Let's work together to make a positive impact on our planet and learn something new along the way!
Looking forward to seeing you in the garden!
